17.09.2012, Mika and Eemi from Finnland,
All we knew beforehand was that we were going to drive in the Alps in a 911 Targa for 2 days. I had made inquiries about the trip about a year before, but due to my sons studies, we could not make the trip until September of this year. The car itself was in immaculate technical condition. Having driven several 911's, we soon found out that the red 911 was pulling very nicely in the low revs, thus making the driving very smooth and relaxing. The brakes were excellent and the body and interior were very solid and quiet. The average speed for this trip is around 50 km/h, but there are some nice roads where you can try how the 911 really goes. The chosen routes were exciting and new for both of us. Some of the sceneries we experienced on the route were absolutely breathtaking and having published some of the pictures on Facebook, tens of my friends have asked for more information about our 2-day trip. The hotel we stayed in was excellent. I can recommend Passo Tourismo as a full package to anyone, who likes to drive a sporty, yet legendary 911, in beautiful surroundings.
As the slogan says, "it's a roadtrip for a lifetime". I can highly recommend it. At least I will do it again, but next time another route.”

My wife and I arranged a tour with Passo Tourismo in July 2012. After a short orientation by Lars and Franz on the operation of the Porsche, we were on our way. First leg of the trip was a 2+ hour trip on the Autobahn to Stuttgart where, as part of the tour, we had lunch at and toured the Porsche Museum. Over the next 4 days and 3 nights, the Passo Tourismo-provided GPS guided us through the Black Forest, past castles and cascading streams, and through ancient town squares and villages to a different hotel each night. Accommodations were extraordinary, and meals were superb. The red, 1987 911 Targa performed flawlessly and was an absolute blast to drive. So much so in fact that, with guidance from Passo Tourismo, we’re looking for a similar model here in the states. We thoroughly enjoyed our Porsche driving adventure with Passo Tourismo and recommend their Tours with great enthusiasm.

We cannot say enough good about the whole Passo Tourismo experience. Everything exceeded our expectations. The car was a wonderful 1984 911, in most excellent condition and with plenty of power available. The slightly customised exhaust gave a nice note, especially during the time we toured through the twisty sections of the Black Forest with the top off. Between the excellent roads, the thoroughly competent German drivers and the joy of a good 911, well, it could not be better.
The hotels were excellent for all of our nights, each different and each unique in their own ways and most definitely not the kind of hotels that the average North American would find. In fact, our greatest challenge was finding the hotels in the beautiful countryside which made them all the nicer once we did get there. We had one minor issue with a booking, but a quick phone call to Franz and the problem was solved immediately and smoothly. Each night had a prepared menu, in all cases the wine, food and service were excellent and memorable and truly enjoyable for both of us.
The roads – oh what to say about the roads! We started on autobahn from Munich to Stuttgart, traffic was light and we were able to reach top speed of around 260kmh a number of times, if for no other reason than to keep up with that Audi S4 that was setting the pace. Next day was the Schwarzwaldhochstraße and almost 4 hours of truly driving the 911 the way it was designed to be driven. Traffic was very light, and what there was did not cause any problems. What a great experience to actually drive Porsche’s finest in the way it was meant to be driven and on the roads it was designed to be on.
Last day we took things a little easier, slower cruise through the countryside, ending with an all too short drive back to Munich. A smooth and easy handover of the car back to Franz ending with some great conversation and beer and our experience came to an end.
Now we just have to plan our next trip – I think that the Dolomites sound great!

We planned this trip as a 60th birthday present for myself and the present turned out even better than I imagined. The scenery was awesome, the staff at Passo Tourismo were great and the 964 performed faultlessly. A truly memorable birthday.

I want you to know we had a wonderful time on our drive in Bavaria. The car was perfect, the route was really good and the hotel in Wallgau was also great. We really liked the village, the rooms and the food was especially good. We will recommend Passo Tourismo to our friends and look forward to returning to do the Italian run in future...
Thanks for everything.

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip especially the hotel, the car, and the hairpin bends.

The Run for the Border Tour was a great trip for my girlfriend and I. The service was great and the route that was suggested had plenty to do and see. The hotel and dinner that were part of the tour were awesome as well. I would definitely recommend the tour and would love to do it again.

One month after our Passo Tourismo Run For the Border road trip my wife and I are still “high” from this great experience. We so immensely enjoyed our 500 kilometers of driving joy in the super, old silver Targa. The route prepared by Franz was absolutely perfect with scenic views and many, many great stretches of carefully selected open road perfect for enjoying a true Porsche drive. And furthermore, Lars’ and Franz’ preparation and reception of us was really friendly, relaxed and professional. We highly recommend everyone to do this, and we will indeed be back!

It's already almost a week ago since my co-driver and I were driving the red Targa through the Alps and had a great time. Thanks again for an unforgettable tour. We look forward to hopefully meeting you again someday.

The trip itself though went beyond all expectations. Hotel and food were fantastic and really nice staff. The routes were stunning. Very well designed and the GPS with the checkin points is really clever as it lets you know your on track still. I think i covered all weather extremes during the weekend. Rain friday but a great drive and then when i got to the hotel at around 5ish it was a total mist out on the mountain. I could not even see a hotel up the hill it was so covered in cloud. Stopped at the one in the T junction by accident and they directed me to the right place. Saturday AM on the river route there was snow on the ground and was an experience to say the least going over the wooden bridges. I then had the Passo Sella and Pordoi to handle which were fantastic. There was big porsche gathering at the top of one of them which was an experience. Anyway great weekend and exceeded all my expectations. The Carrera 4 was a great car to take and glad i was in that, this weekend.
Franz is a credit to the business and could not have been more helpful throughout, even running around to the Hotel sunday to drop of my certificate we had forgotten after i had left.
Anyway, Many Thanks and the utmost respect.

The trip was quite frankly amazing for us. I knew we would have a great time, but it honestly exceeded my expectations. Of course, driving the 911 in Bavaria and the Alps was the realization of a dream, but I think that the route is what put it over the top. It was the perfect mix of highways, byways, little out of the way towns, passes, and phenomenal scenery. I liked having our virtual guide taking us around, yet we still had flexibility to stop and stretch our legs or take in scenery when we wanted.
Thanks again for giving us great value for our money. Franz you did a great job and Lars thanks for taking time away from your kid's party to meet with us.

Guys, Lars is good people and I will completely vouch for him. I have been with him on a small tour the last two years through the Alps and trust him absolutely.
